With the new year fast approaching, I thought I ought to take a moment to reflect on the goings on of 2015 (after all, it's too easy to hurtle haphazardly from one project to the next without a second thought!). So here's a little monthly round up of some of the highlights of 2015....
January: I started off the year with a good helping of workshops to lead - including returning to Leeds to visit the lovely folk at Yorkshire Movement and Dance
February: Saw me in Abertillery once again, rehearsing for my fourth season with Ffin Dance - The Power of 3 Tour
March: Marked a return to exploring maths through dance with Dance Equation - with the addition of a Permutations dance to our Key Stage 2 show
April: Was the start of a new venture with Two Thirds Sky - getting into the medieval swing of things for sold out performances on site at Chichele College and Bede House
May: A manic month of MÓTUS - the ultimate 'how many hats can you wear at once' challenge what with assistant directing, choreographing and performing simultaneously!
June: Was full steam ahead with choreography for 'For the Fallen' - a Great War MK project in partnership with Westbury Arts Centre
July: Featured a little more choreography - working with students at CentreStage Theatre School MK to create a piece for their summer show.
August: Saw me travel out to perform in Germany with Ffin Dance for the third incarnation of Tanz@Namedy - always a treat!
September: Another new start - joining Rambert as an animateur - kicking off with some intensive training days before heading out on the road to start leading workshops
October: Saw the launch of 'Desire to Dance' projects with Ffin Dance as an extension to The Power of 3 tour
November: Revisited the Great War MK partnership to perform in the professional commission at the finale event
December: A joyful research and development project with Hannah Moore at Halsway Manor as part of her BBC Performing Arts Fund Fellowship to round off the year!
So there you have it :-) Thanks to all of the lovely people, companies and organisations who I've spent 2015 with...I hope we get the opportunity to meet again in the new year and beyond!
